Barbara Chloe Murdoch moved to Fort Myers from Clarkston, Michgan in 1979 and continued her career as a court reporter until retiring in 2004. in 1992 Barbara fulfilled her long-time dream of pursuing art.
Watercolor was her choice and remains her medium today. Barbara paints a wide variety of subjects in many styles; many times painting a series of a particular subject.
She has won many awards and had many one woman shows. Barbara's art is colorful and imaginative; sometimes whimsical, sometimes abstract, but always unique. Her most popular series have been her Jungle, Dancin' Ladies, Fishin Shacks and City Lights, and many other paintings showcasing a wide variety of subject matter.
